Candied Sweet Potatoes #1

About as simple as it gets

6 medium
Sweet potatoes
 
1 cup
Brown sugar
Firmly packed
1/4 cup
Water
 
1 tbsp
Butter
 
 
Salt and pepper
To taste

Cook sweet potatoes until tender; drain, peel, and place in a pan. Make a syrup by
boiling the sugar and water.
Pour the syrup over the potatoes and dot with butter.
Bake at 450 degrees for about 20 minutes
